The climatic and ecological conditions of the Mahakam River are very similar to the climatic conditions of rivers in the Meso-America region such as Chiapas, Amazon and so on. This makes this area suitable for developing cocoa / chocolate commodities, this is indicated by the growth of cocoa in rural areas and has test results of physical parameters, aroma and chemical content that are appropriate and feasible to be developed into superior and healthy products and processed to meet market needs. The gap that is filled is the type or category of craft chocolate, where this gap benefits farmers, gives a characteristic to the product and is good for economic development for all parties involved in this process so as to make a sustainable business chain. This business is compatible with the implementation of the SDG concept and the pure and consistent implementation of ESG.
